I was told lard cakes are bad for you. I have been eating fried lard cakes for over 40 years. I have had (2) heart attacks + a stroke, but can still work to the bathroom. Not bad for a forty four year old man.

Nicci--I see you have bought into the egg myth that the yolk is bad for you. Wake up! The yolk is what contains the sulpher which binds to toxins and heavy metals and then removed from our bodies. The whole egg is perfect food.

MYTH- If you need to avoid sugar because you are diabetic, it's OK to substitue artificial sweeteners like Splenda.
I have been told that the body recognizes sweetness and can cause the blood sugar to spike just as it would if it were consuming real sugar. Also, the chemicals in these artificial sweeteners are not good for you.

In 2003 the Environmental Working Group tested and ranked 46 common
fruits and vegetables for pesticide contamination. According to their
findings, the produce with the highest amount of contamination, coined
the dirty dozen, are peaches, strawberries, apples, spinach, nectarines, celery, pears,
cherries, POTATOES, bell peppers, raspberries and imported grapes. These
would be the best choices for organic.
