My mother won't eat corn because she heard it is the most fattening of vegetables. I told her that's silly, but she still thinks it'll pack on the pounds!

I love avocados, but I've heard mixed reviews about them. I've read they contain "good fat", but when I saw a Doctor for weight management he said "eat alot of veggies, stay away from avocados though, very high in fat"...so now I'm torn )o :

The myth I heard is to go in strict diet and starving yourself is the best way to lose weight and stay healthy. Not me I eat three normal meals a day with friuts and vegetibles but not snacks in between and exercise fairly at least walking for 30 mins a day and I'm in shape. I'm 25 year and live san antonio texas.
