I was told that I should lay off peanut butter for good because peanuts develop a nasty fungus.

I think there is some contradiction to this post. Because, the food that you have mentioned is healthy for the body and also harmful for the body. Thou, if you are consuming it heavy then it must be harmful to you. And beside if you take it in a proper manner or according to your doctors suggestion then it can be a healthy food for you. Now, many people want to get a healthy body in a short time and thus they consume it in a heavy manner so it affect their body. If you take it in a proper manner and do some exercises then it is really helpful to your body.Affordable Kitchen Cabinets

real butter used to be a no no but I think not !it couldnt be any worse for you than all these margerines they have out now ! I believe in simplicity...alot of foods have been given a bad rap like coffee and red wine used to be bad for you but come to find out the stuff has more pros than cons. go figure!

I really believed the potatoe myth. Thank you so much for clearing that up. I am diabetic 2, and they have not explained how combining foods changes the GI so I will research more. Again, thank you.

It seems my bad cholesterol keeps going up. I changed my diet to include alot of fish, fruits and vegetables but the bad level actually went up! I also eat alot of Bertolli frozen microwave meals, mostly the ones with shrimp...is this why? I did away with or seriously cut back on alot of things I thought was contributing (milky way bars, cut out most sweets, starbucks coffee drinks, rarely eat meat etc) Frustrated because I don't have time to cook --or the number in household needed to cook for!

I'm not sure if it is really a myth. I read somewhere that if we knew how farmers grew our potatoes, we would probably not eat them anymore and that those same farmers grow their own potatoes separately from the ones that are marketed. So what is the process for growing potatoes?

I am sick of doctors and training professionals that have bought into the high protein diets like Atkins. I tried the diet years ago and I felt horrible -- especially the first week. My trainer today is high on protein low carbs and the doctor that works out with him is also of the same thought process. I also travelled a lot and it's a carb world out there when I was on the high protein diet. I wish that for once professionals could agree on a GOOD diet. I for one think the Mediterranean diet makes the most sense with a balance of fruits, veggies, protein etc.
