MYTH- If you need to avoid sugar because you are diabetic, it's OK to substitue artificial sweeteners like Splenda.
I have been told that the body recognizes sweetness and can cause the blood sugar to spike just as it would if it were consuming real sugar. Also, the chemicals in these artificial sweeteners are not good for you.

In 2003 the Environmental Working Group tested and ranked 46 common
fruits and vegetables for pesticide contamination. According to their
findings, the produce with the highest amount of contamination, coined
the dirty dozen, are peaches, strawberries, apples, spinach, nectarines, celery, pears,
cherries, POTATOES, bell peppers, raspberries and imported grapes. These
would be the best choices for organic.

Coconuts. They are full of saturated fat. So why have Malaysians, who practically live on coconuts (and palm oil), historically had low rates of heart disease? So have a number of Pacific Islanders who eat tons of coconut. Malaysians put coconut milk in EVERYTHING, as do other south east Asians who have had historical low rates of heart disease. How does that add up.
