What I wish to learn from you would be the best or practical sources of ANTI-OXIDANTS like juice products we buy from the grocery stores. I mostly buy POMEGRANETE/BLUEBERRY juice.
Is this one of the anti-oxidant you would recommend?
The reason why I wish to learn more about this subject on anti-oxidants is because I take a lot
of medications (orally) due to hypertension and heart problem. I hate to see my liver get "too
chemicalized and poisoned."

Welcome back to the real world, genius. The rest of us have known this and have been eating this stuff while you lunatics were busy chewing on tree bark. Do yourself a favor next time and listen to your grandmother instead of the 23 year old 'expert' in Cosmo. There's a reason she's lived so long. She's learned a few things. Such as, you cannot grow enough food organically to feed the population of the United States and farmers and the companies they sell to generally do not want their customers to die which is why they aren't likely to use harmful pesticides. After all, they're eating this stuff too. You're not going to believe this and will keep overpaying for 'organic' produce anyway but there it is.

Re dairy comments, few would object to giving antibiotics to sick cows but antibiotics given routinely to cows is mainstream dairy practice, and yes, it does show up in the milk; same w/growth hormones. Average age of menarche has increased radically in recent years; drug resistant infections are also a more prevalent problem. I am not alone in thinking there is a relationship.
I eat organic whenever I can; didn't use to; when I switched to mostly organic and whole grains I thought it might be worth it but doubted I'd notice much difference day to day. Well, I do. Weight control has turned incredibly easy and I enjoy the taste of fresh organic fruits and vegies so much, I think that's why.
Check into farmers markets and CSAs to get the best quality, freshest and BEST TASTING stuff.

i am a bit confused about the "unless you’re eating an absolutely plain potato all by itself, its GI value doesn’t matter". So its better to eat it fried that boiled lets say????

I have bought into the following "wisdoms" - are they myths, or are they true? I don't know, I'm no nutritionist...
1.Whole grains (like long grain & wild rice or whole wheat breads) are better than refined grains (like white rice or white bread)
2.Salt is bad for you - in mega doses. Canned veggies contain enough salt to meet the daily requirements of a family of 4; one bouillion cube is sufficient salt-seasoning for rice & pasta.
3.Extra Virgin Olive Oil is best for sauteing or frying food
4.Turkey bacon is leaner, and therefore healthier, than traditional pork bacon
5.Beets are bad for diabetics
