Cut the grapefruit in half. Place each half face down on a dinner plate. Cut each half into 8 sections. Pick up a section, bend the small tip back to separate it from the skin, place in mouth and with the front teeth strip the fruit out leaving a clean piece of skin. Eat the entire section, repeat until finished.

Cut into 'eighths' around its axis preserving all juice in large cereal bowl ---- lean over the kitchen sink and eat every last morsel of meat and draw in every last gram of juice --- scraping the rind of every last bit --- so as to not waste one bit of either juice or meat --- then, of course, lap up the juice from the cereal bowl --- "waste not want not" ---

To my surprise, grapefruit has really been good this year. I have recently found that there is more than one type. Previously, I had been able to get only the ones that are tart. This year, I am able to get the red which is different from the red flame and the Duncan type.
Both are swee, both red and Duncan are sweett. However, Duncan is a little sweeter
and I love the two. My favorite way to eat them is simply to cut them in half and scoop out the pulp.. Wow, are they good! No doubt, the grapefruit is helping to get my blood pressure back in control.
