the mold has come to kill the bacteria ,so yes, chuck it.however i dont worry if i eat a bit by mistake the mold kills germs on the food.but there are some toxic molds that grow in peanuts.

Yes, always. In fact I just threw away some moldy, furry cream cheese. Yuck!

Maybe I am lucky to be surviving. I have always eaten moldy cheese. Isn't blue cheese that color because of mold? Anyhow that's my story, and I'm sticking to it.

I would like to see inputs from anybody who got sick from moldy cheese. Let's hear from you if you have?

Have a great day, regards from Cheesy bob

If you can eat the "food" they serve at McDonalds you can handle a little mold on your strawberries.

Cheesecake? My six year old accidently ate a half a piece of moldy cheesecake at a local restaurant befor I saw it. Should I be worried about her getting sick?

Have researched a little and agree with your notes. Been a tad like your husband in the past but now willing to err on the side of safety. The real goal is to not let food be around long enough to get moldy in the first place.

Sometimes. I like to save food when i can. I've cut off moldy parts on tomatoes and eaten them. I've also accidentally eaten bread with mold on it .. it has the taste of what dirt smells like or what it smells like if you dig up a colony of red ants. I'm really not sure if it's caused me to get sick at least stomach sick.
