Chocolate milk? Seriously?! What year is this? There is nothing good about the suggestion of chocolate milk for kids. Give them a low fat cheese stick, for god's sake, if you're worried about calcium. NOT more sugar!

Breakfast: high insulin response.
Lunch: high insulin response. With a high sugar drink: more insulin
Snack: more insulin.
This sounds like a track straight towards type 2 diabetes.

It is ridiculous to tell parents to put chocolate milk in their kids' lunches. As if adding nearly 40 more grams of sugar to their day is going to be beneficial to them at all. Give me a break! You may as well tell them to pack a can of pop. Kids can get calcium for their bones from far better options than sugar and hormone laden milk. Yuck. My healthy, non-obese kids won't be having any chocolate milk in their lunches! Water does just fine for a beverage.
