Diluting fruit juices if you cannot drink water.... adding slices of lemon and oranges to water/sparkling water...

I usually use honey instead of sugar, for tea, herbal tea, and for baking.
I also created some quick snacks that contains date or honey. raisons, dried figs and apricot are also rich with sugar too ... I'm eating these rich fruits with cream or plane crackers, they are very tasty.

I recently found our I have liken plantis which is an overgrowth of yeast that, feeds on sugar. My husband also had open heart surgery recently and, has to cut back on his sugar as well. I fix a sugar free fat free pudding, fill it with crushed sugar free, fat free cookies, sprinkle with wheat germ, and slivered almonds. We also can't eat nuts because of Colitis so, I put the almonds and, walnuts in the chopper and, chop them very, very fine until they have consistency of saw dust. Then I sprinkle them over our sugar free fat free dessert. They are good sprinkled over smoothies too. Frieda from Ky.

I've made a slow and stead progression to eliminate sugar (and cream) from my coffee and to eliminate my too frequent lattes. I'm to the point now where adding 4 to 6 oz. of sweetened Almond Milk (60 calories for 8oz. serving) to my 12 - 16 oz. morning coffee gives me just the right amount of sweetness and creaminess. I also enjoy the nuttiness of the almond flavor, it gives me a taste of that coffee shop flair!

I try not to have any refined sugar in the house such as cookies, ice cream, etc. Instead, I buy a bar of dark chocolate and eat a couple of pieces a night (maybe more) an hour or so after dinner. It gives my dinner time to digest, and when I finally have my 'sweet', I don't over indulge. It takes a lot of discipline especially when I am really craving refined sugar. I also try to add honey or molasses to my hot cereal in the morning as a sweetener instead of refined white or brown sugar.

I have been making frozen fruit pops with orange juice and milk and yogurt. Add vanilla and a bit of agave syrup. I put this concoction in the ice cream freezer, then when it's slushy, I put into wax paper cups and add a wooden dessert spoon. It's a nice treat, refreshingly cold, and it takes a while to eat, so the satisfaction is there.

I make our own cereal. It's easy to buy oats, unsugared corn flakes, soy & spelt flakes, hulled sunflower seeds, slivered almonds etc. Then just sweeten a mix of the dry ingredients with some dried fruits like raisins and cranberries. Slice a bannana on top and it's really good and no sugar added. Probably less expensive as well.

My husband is a total sugar junkie, so I always add naturally sweet pureed fruits to our smoothies and baked goods. Prunes in particular have a caramel-esque taste that is delicious in brownies among other things. The fruit puree does double duty by also allowing you to reduce the amount of added fat.

When baking, add honey dates to the recipe to replace sugar. It's natural and healthy. You don't even miss the sugar.
