I am just curious why there has not yet been any type of conclusive study linking sugar to obesity. With all of the discussions, it seems as if some study would have been prompted years ago by our scientific community. What is the hold up on the research that confirms or denies involvement of sugar linking to the obesity epidemic?

You might look to $$$ as the answer to the above question. The fod industry is powerful and rich and relies heavily on the addictive properties of sugar to get the average american to consume the new product. Oh and definitely don't look to the FDA to save you. They are not really looking out for your or my interest unless we are a huge food or drug company.

You suggest fruit for dessert but articles suggest eating fruit only on empty stomach for full benefits.ie.anti-oxidant and digestive health among others. So what gives?

i have a question about eating fruit after a main meal. Fruit is easy to digest, i've heard it's best to eat fruit on it's own because the fruit breaks down faster than say meat. If fruit is eaten after a meal, it has to sit and wait to move down th digestive tract, so while it is waiting it is fermenting. What is your opinion on that?
