I'm an experience vegetable gardener. I grew up on an large dairy farm. Learned to garden from my aunties & Grams. There was an acre for the garden. Grew all kinds of vegetables. Today I like to grow: beans gr & wax, peas, squashes gr & yellow, beets.Tomatoes 3 kinds: cherry, romas & beef streak. Heirloom is another favorite . Cabbage, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, spinach, carrots. I also grow , winter squashes, butter nut, spaghetti . I start canning in late Aug -Nov.. Tomatoes, carrots, beans. Where I live I get 2 of everything in one growing season. Another words, I've a few beans & peas starter plants to be put in late June. which means I'll have a 2nd crop at the end of the spring-summer season. I've got fresh beans & peas for Thanksgiving. The rest is of the crop is canned. So, my family will have freshly canned vegetables. This year, will try blanching & freezing !!! Linda

We moved this spring and were nt able to start a garden right away, so we improvised! On our deck we have three types of tomatoes in large containers. I also have lavender, basil, rosemary, tarragon and thyme in window boxes on the back of the house. Citrus mint in pots and bell peppers in pots. They are doing beautifully!

Sprouts. Kits are available, or you can sprout seeds in a jar. Easy!
