Carolyn, I enjoyed reading this article on AOL, but upon reading this line: . "Serious coffee lovers use bottled spring water or activated-charcoal/carbon filters on their taps." I wanted to comment that the water from my well in Connecticut is excellent, but it seems so often there is a tendency to foster the habit of buying "spring water", contributing to quite a carbon footptint with the plastics and transport of bottled water. Even when I lived in NYC, the tap water from upstate reservoirs was excellent.
