Wendy asks: Have you made a dessert with quinoa yet?


These are gorgeous - everyone raved about them. I was trying to use up some extra quinoa given to me. I ground the quinoa in my coffee grinder to make the flour - and a tip for anyone else who might want to grind quinoa to flour - grind some rice in your coffee grinder - that will clean it out and you won't taste any coffee flavour in the ground quinoa.

I made the blondies last night and got two thumbs up from my teenage boys. The next time I make the recipe I will use less chocolate chips (I know you think I am crazy) and bake a few minutes longer.

I tried this at home, it taste delicious. Mine got little bit dry still it was awesome dessert.

I made these Almond Butter Quinoa Blondies and we all loved them, making them again today for a family who has a real thing for sweets!

No, but I am making my food list for the next shopping adventure. I saw the Quinoa Blondie recipe in the April issue and plan to have them as soon as I get back from the store. I am alone and don't shop that often and I appreciate you recipes "for one", thank you Lin O'Day
