I like to make a burger using brown rice, soy sauce, nutritional yeast and egg. You can also use lentils, rather than the brown rice, or grated rutabagas and carrots, or..........

Remember that quinoa is grown at high altitudes in water-poor conditions, and that demand for quinoa is placing considerable strain on agricultural resources in Bolivia and other Andean countries.

It does taste very good! I am a meat eater, but have been cutting back tremendously lately. I've made these burgers 3 times and each time gets better and better. Love 'em! Thanks for the recipe.

Weight loss process involves many scarifies, it may be your favorite food you may say good bye .In the beginning you must avoid some of the non veg, later you can go with that. Its really nice to have veg, but now you can have non veg also while on diet.

Meat is very environmentally unfriendly now. Large proportion of agricultural land is used to grow feed for livestock rather than food for people. In terms of food security, that's not the greatest way to go. Livestock are also breeding grounds for disease epidemics such as various influenza strains.

I really would love to try this recipe. I keep Quinoa in my pantry I have the original colored and red quinoa which I regard as having a nuttier flavor. My daughter is a fan of meat, but she will eat veggie burgers if that is what I give her. She prefers the "meatier" types that are made of beans. My only issue with this recipe is the pecans because of her tree nut allergies. Do I just leave them out and leave the ingredients the same amounts or would I substitute those with another ingredient or incease the volume of another?

I love the look of this veggie burger and I bet it would taste so good just by the looks of it. I have stopped eating meat for a year now and always finding new healthy recipes to try. I find replacing meat with alternatives is healthier and would love to see more .veggie recipes
