I have ALWAYS had to have something to eat about every 2 hours. Theretofore I try to eat low carbmeals and snacks. I just recently lost 20lbs so I guess it works for me. Jennifer Parramore 56y/o. Quincy Fl.

With the conclusion about how much food you eat being the main factor, as well as the suggestion to eat snacks to make sure you're not ravenous, I have one more bit of personal experience to add. You must un-learn the idea that you should eat until you're stuffed. People who are overweight like I was simply didn't know that that's not how you're supposed to eat.
You must instead stop eating when you have had enough to eat. Finding out that limit is a personal experience and comparison thing. Try one burger instead of two. Maybe look around and see who has a body type like your Could I eat more than a hotdog and a single serving bag of chips? You bet. But I don't. And I've kept off my excess 50 lbs for 14 years by eating anything I want but only so much of it. I eat donuts, candy, drink egg nog, eat cookies, ice cream Snickers bars, root beer floats, milkshakes, burgers, steaks, everything. I just take most meals moderately. And I don't really exercise. I had to learn what size meal was best, and now that I know the portions I go for that size.
Remember: elephants are vegetarians. It's the portions that matter.
