Michelle asks: Have you had success losing weight and keeping it off? Share your secrets with the rest of us!

I've struggled with my weight all of my life and have really struck a balance & maintained my current weight (I'm still thinking about losing a little more) for almost 2 yrs. now. When I look at my approach, it breaks down to an increase in physical activity - I interval train (walk/jog/run/sprint), I'm aware of what I eat (but I don't deny myself anything) and the most important change I made that I absolutely believe has been the key to my success - I've removed myself from toxic, drama-laden relationships and focused on building a stronger me from the inside out. Essentially, I believe I'm able to maintain my weight with seemingless effort because I am a happier, more content person. It's been a long road and it's a journey that never ends, but it has put everything into perspective for me. And as with anything that feels good, it's only natural to keep wanting that feeling and therefore ceased to be a "chore" for me. Best of luck to everyone out there! The recipes sound wonderful and I will definitely be trying them out! I love cooking!

I've never had to lose weight. I have a high metabolism rate. So I've always been thin since, high school. Even after haveing (3) kids. I do have some fat-trim tire like around my tummy. But, I still wear a size 6 jean. It's my daughter, who's having an extreme hard time losing her weight. She needs to lose about 30-60 lbs. She is in the guidelines of obese. This only occurs due to the meds she's on. Her true weight is really about 120-135 lbs.
We all ready have an RD (Nutritionist) but, I want to try some of these low cal/low fat meals, desserts & snacks. As well as trying out the meal planner that I just figured out how to use. But, not completely, just yet.
Do you have any suggestive diet plans she should try?

It took 3years to lose 105 lbs. Ate nothing with sugar, fat. flour in it during that time. Instead of using a regular dinner plate I used a plate one serves pie on. In other words I cut my portions. Eat Practically everything now, but in moderation. Now after 4 years of reducing portions, weighing myself daily to keep a constant watch, I have not gained any weight
