I love throwing parties. It’s a great way to get all of my friends together without all of us ringing up a hefty bar tab at our favorite watering hole. (Plus, we can listen to music we like!) The key to being the hostess with the mostest is being armed with some ridiculously simple crowd-pleasing appetizer recipes that come together in minutes. That way you don’t have to stress out doing anything too complicated before the party starts, and once your friends come over you can actually spend time hanging out. These 5 appetizers are perfect any time of year.

Smoked salmon gets an added crunch when served on radish slices.

Get the recipe: Tomato-Basil Skewers
Skewering mozzarella balls and cherry tomatoes makes them easy to nosh at a party.

Get the recipe: Steak-&-Boursin-Wrapped Bells
For an even quicker preparation, try deli roast beef.

Get the recipe: Wasabi Crab on Endive
Spicy wasabi mayonnaise makes crab sing in these easy appetizers.

Get the recipe: Apricot Canapes
These sweet and savory bites are like a cheese course in a bite.
