Breana asks: What are your weight-loss tips?

It's great that you have found weight loss success and great that you have a built in 'girlfriend' who happens to run in the same circle as you do. Congrats too on probably being a 'self employed' businesswoman.

The article didn't quite specify whether you had to be out of the home and at a 'job' by a certain time. It's certainly a privilege and a perk to work when/if you want/need to.

For most of us working women, we balance families, 8hr a day jobs that remove us from our homes 40hrs out of the week plus other commitments. As WE all know, time is a calculated and precious commodity. Marketing for and preparing meals are determined days, sometimes weeks, in advance. Leisurely strolls around the neighborhoods are taken when 'time' permits. Sessions at a gym are usually crack-of-dawn AM or hoot-owl PM. Cocktail parties....what's that?

Don't take this the wrong way...but working class women who have balanced a nutritious eating plan coupled with a somewhat convenient fitness plan ALONG with family and other commitments are really the stars that shine the brightest.

Keep going forward because there's no looking back.

SOUP! It's got to be the most versatile meal. Having moderately high cholesterol I created a vegan soup with cholesterol lowering, fiber rich, heart healthy ingredients. These include: low sodium veggie broth, lots of kale, plus carrots, celery, garlic, Bob's Red Mill Soup Mix, more lentils, green beans, navy beans, 1 can no salt added tomatoes, curry, turmeric, black and cayenne pepper. Low cal and very nutritious. It makes a huge batch and freezes well. When I reheat it in the microwave, I add mushrooms and any left over veggies (usually broccoli). I eat a bowl of this everyday for lunch. Keeps me satisfied until dinner and I never grow tired of it.
