Cucumbers actually more diuretic properties than hydrating properties. You give inaccurate and incomplete advice.

I add salt to my water bottle, I do this when I play volleyball especially in an all day tournament. It helps to reduce/prevent your muscles from getting cramps.

I also stay away (try too) from fatty foods and sweets.
