In one 2010 study, people who drank two cups of water before meals lost more weight than those who didn’t. Plus, drinking water can help edge out calories from calorie-laden beverages like juice, soda and even sweetened tea or coffee.
Find out how much water you should drink each day.

“I had no problem drinking water at home, but sometimes struggled to stay hydrated at work. That’s why I’m obsessed with my SodaStream, a home seltzer maker, which transforms flat water into sparkling goodness. The seltzer bubbles make me feel like I’m having a treat every time I drink water and I find it so much easier to drink throughout the day—I easily go through two 1-liter bottles at work.”

Actionable Tip: Carry a reusable water bottle with you or pack other calorie-free options (seltzer or unsweetened tea or coffee).
