I exercise my feet and limbs while in front of my PC. I also try to exercise my arms and legs in the kitchen while waiting for something to boil or while making popcorn in the pot.

Walking at the shopping mall - it might not be the cheapest way exercise but it works for me.
Parking a distance away from the entrance - the wrong entrance! - means I have to walk to get inside the mall. Then I have to walk to get to whatever store I have in mind that day.
Sometimes I do not even have a store destination in mind. Walking around inside the mall, the length of it - and back - for example, is good exercise.
This is not waking at a snails-pace. I am not window-shopping. I don't knot what is meant by a 'brisk' pace - but I walk at what I call a 'determined' pace. As if I am aiming to get to the washroom quickly!

Since I work sitting in front of a computer all day... I found that when I took "Bio Breaks" I take time to run up and down 2 flights of stairs 3 times. Gets my heart going and circulation as well. Wakes me up and I feel less guilty!

Fortunately for me, I MUST walk every day at work. Even when it's not so busy, I make it a point to walk around the building and up and down the stairs. Sometimes I walk home, which is approximately 5 miles. I don't do this too often, because I tired if I've had a busy day (walking). I also use hand weights if I must watch a program on TV.

I use the "5 floors up" rule. Only use the elevator if you have to go up 5 floors. Down 5 or even 10 is easy to do on the stairs.

This is nothing new but will serve as a reminder. When shopping, parkyour car the furthest distance from the store. Carry your groceries to the car if you can. The weight of the shopping bags and the walk will burn a few calories.

I clip on my pedometer once I get up in the morning and wear it all day long. I find that with it's help
I am holding myself accountable for each step I make during the day. Then, at night I remove it and
write down the total steps, miles and calories burned. It does work for me and gives me a measurable
sense of accomplishment. The only problem was I went through about 5 different pedometes before
finding one that was accurate. For the last 10 months, I take pride in walking over 5 miles a day..
every day. Most days I walk about 12-15,000 steps. I keep my weight in check daily.

Deep breathing exercises can strengthen your core and make more intense exercise easier. Also clenching your muscles during periods of inactivity can help just that little bit and can be done easily and subtly at your desk, in the movies, car or watching tv
