My top foods for health are kale, sweet potatoes, and apples. I've lost 70lbs in 4 months and feel better than ever despite having MS. Kale gave me the ability to walk again. I preach its benefits to everyone I meet.

MSG has been shown to cause rats to become obese. Why don't we hear about the food additives that are put in packaged, bottle, and canned foods. For this reason, I avoid those as much as possible.
It seems to me that cooked vegetables, e.g., tomatoes and broccoli, are better for one than the raw form because they are easier to digest. What say you? We know beans and rice and other seed foods are.

I eat eggs every morning. In order to make them healthier, I scramble them
with some crushed tomatoes (from a can). Beware of certain brands of
crushed tomatoes, though; some contain high fructose corn syrup.

I know this must sound weird but kidney beans. Serve them up with some cumin, salt, and pepper and there is a fiber and protein packed snack.

My go-to health foods are: Craisins (dried cranberries), Flax Seed (not ground, because I like the cruch and texture the flax gives my food), and All Bran (original ceral). I add flax seed and/or craisins to my salads, tuna salad, cereal, cookies or squares, and much more.
The all bran is great mixed in with yogurt and fresh berries: use a flavored yougurt, and the result (after the all bran has a chance to soften) is like eating cheesecake. Yum! I also put a bit of flax in this mixture sometimes.
