Ummm....so, how is it that the director of Behavioral Science Research have the authority on food. Because I've actually used a lot of those "myths" and I've dropped from 275 to 230 and am still dropping so what does that mean??? Does it mean that I really didn't loose weight or what??? I'm confused now.

@PEBBLES31061: First of all, congratulations on your weight loss. That's awesome! To answer your question about the authority of a "behavioral scientist": Dr. Foreyt is well-respected scientist in the field of weight management. (Many experts who study weight loss study it from the perspective of looking at people's behaviors--and how they're linked with their weight... versus, say, how how neurotransmitters affect our appetites.) And to your point that some of these "myths" are working for you... it's not to say that eating more smaller meals, for instance, WON'T help you lose weight; it's more that one can't expect to shed pounds SIMPLY by eating more, smaller meals. As we point out, spreading meals through the day can help some people to control hunger and eat fewer calories over all.

Good to know! I have always heard that you should not eat before bed! I have to admit that I was surprised by this one LOL :) I am definitely wanting to shape up this year and that means continuing to consume the good whole foods, drinking water and taking my Vidazorb probiotic. I am also wanting to work out more and drink more green tea!
