I've been using My Fitness Pal (dot) com to track every calorie. I'm trying to lose pregnancy pounds, and then a little more, in order to reach my correct BMI. I shoot for 1100 calories (please note that my son is 1 now, I'm no longer breastfeeding), knowing that there is a margin of error in measuring and weighing food, etc. I've lost 26 pounds, over a period of 70 days. That averages about 2.5 lbs a week, but I'm sure the water loss at the very start contributes to the high average. The application is helping me eat very consciously, almost looking at the calories like money, and spending the calories very wisely on fruits and veggies, meat alternatives (mostly tofu and tempeh) and limiting dairy. As a whole, I feel great.

I dropped 10 lbs in 2 months...now I have dropped 5 lbs more, in the last couple of months. For me, it was strictly exercise and portion control.
I cut out desserts and white sugar and upped my fibre intake.
I eat alot of fibre rich foods eg. beans, whole wheat/ multigrain pasta, high fibre pitas and nuts. I now drink coconut water regularly and eat coconut. I have increased my fish intake and eat alot of greens. 8-10glasses of water, no sodas. And I replaced my dessert after meals with a fruit.
In addition to dropping the lbs.,the fibre rich/sugar reduced diet has balanced my hormones and practically eliminated my IBS.
And I get zero heartburn.
I love the way I feel and look. This is a permanent lifestyle change for me.
