Really lite butter and parmesan cheese with lite salt. I don't eat it more than once a week that way. But, just lite salt is best!

I pop my popcorn in canola oil in a saucepan, then add a little salt and cayenne pepper. For special occasions, I add extra virgin olive oil and butter (3:1). The olive oil - popcorn combo seemed odd at first; now I love it when a splurge is in order.

Up until Sunday, my favourite popcorn topping was Parmesan cheese and freshly chopped rosemary. Then I had some popcorn at my daughter's house which was simply dressed with canola oil and salt. It was simply divine in its simplicity! I used to have it slathered in salted butter (lots!), but my tastes have changed.
I love reading Penelope's blogs...bring 'em on!!

Gary and I received a hot air popcorn popper for a Christmas gift - 25 years ago. I still have it, love it and use it. It has never failed me. I would have to say popcorn is about my favorite food. I would write more, but I must go and pop some corn.

If you can find "Organic Corn"..GREAT! Great to pop and great for you! It is so very sad, though, that most of the corn is now Genetically Modified and full of viruses and pesticides - right in the very seed, so you are harming your body and harming the earth, the water, and .....you know it all - if you saw that "Eyeopening" movie: FOOD INC. Please see it, Please stand up against Monsanto and boycot their corn! Grab Organic and breath freely that you are not only having fun, but you are also helping the earth - and all living things! Pop away and KEEP HAPPY! IT ONLY TAKES ONE PERSON TELLING ANOTHER AND ANOTHER TO MAKE THE DIFFERENCE IN THE WORLD! But it is worth it!
