Golly, I may have actually done something right for a change! I had a salad for lunch made of wheat berries, chopped red peppers, zucchini, carrots and celery, with an oil and vinegar dressing. I cooked a cup of rinsed wheat berries in 3 1/2 cups of water (with 1/2 t salt) for about an hour and 3/4 (the pkg said an hour or until tender, and it took longer). Drained and cooled the wheat, added the chopped vegetables, some fresh parsley and the oil & vinegar. It makes enough for a week. Very tasty. You can't make me tell you what I ate after that though. Nope.

Carolina-style pulled pork sandwiches, with "picking sauce" -- spiced vinegar; (as opposed to Memphis-style tomato/molasses sauce).
Homecrafted whole grain rolls, my own adaption from the "artisan bread in five minutes a day" book/website.
Pile on vegetables with vinegar-dressed coleslaw with hot and sweet peppers, carrots and sweet onions; maybe some shredded fruit like apple or pineapple.
Lovely treat to enjoy a few times during the summer: yum yum
