I like a chicken breast with a salad and a great vegetable, like brussels sprouts tossed with butternut squash cut into little squares and baked with a little olive oil. Tastes great, filling and delicious !

I make a cabbage slaw with mixed cabbages,(I like to buy the precut one) nuts, apples raisins and a dressing that is 1/3 may and 2/3 yogurt, Celery seed or caraway seed, a splash of frozen apple juice concentrate and a little milk to thin it out. Mix all together. Delish. Sometimes I want curry, so I add curry powder instead of the seeds. SErve with a cut of cheese or piece of chicken or a dish of cooked beans lentil, quinoa. Seasonal fruit for dessert. If I want chocolate, bittersweet chocolate chips--1/4 c works. Holds until dinner! We make a variation on this most days of the week.

My go to lunch when i am cutting calories is tuna on whole grain bread with lettuce and some fruit salad or vegie salad.
