Chipotle is one of my favorite places for a quick and healthy meal, as I can get a delicious bowl full of fiber, protein and other essential nutrients for under $10. A visit to Chipotle is simply not complete without a giant dollop of their incredible guacamole—but it's just so painful to pay extra for it. Luckily, I have the secret to getting that glorious guac for free.

Getting free guacamole at Chipotle is as simple as leaving the meat or sofritas protein option off of your order. Veggie bowls automatically come with a free, full-sized scoop of the stuff! While I know some may be concerned about getting enough protein if you skip meat for one meal, but don't worry,you'll still get plenty to keep you satisfied. A veggie bowl with brown rice, black beans, Monterey Jack cheese, fajita veggies, fresh tomato salsa, roasted chili-corn salsa and guac still offers a hefty 24 grams. Plus, you'll get nearly an entire day's worth of fiber, which will help keep you full for hours.

Not only is my guac hack good for your wallet, it's also great for your health. Beans are the ultimate longevity food, as they are packed with protein, fiber, iron and B vitamins. Eating more beans shows to improve heart health, cholesterol levels, digestion and weight management.

Choosing wholesome plant protein over animal proteins like meat, poultry and fish is also better for the health of our planet. For example, swapping out beef for beans once a week is equivalent to taking 16 million cars off the road annually.
