Le Creuset has over 20 signature hues in their collection—including classic colors such as "Flame" and "Provence". But each year, they unveil limited-edition colors that make home cooks go crazy. The hype around new Le Creuset colors drives shoppers to their local retailer to see seasonal releases (like autumnal morel) as soon as they can. Some would argue that new Le Creuset colors are more attractive than their signature colors (like 2018's "Indigo") which leads to a buying rush, as shoppers know they’ll eventually disappear from shelves.

Imagine our surprise, then, when the brand surreptitiously dropped a collection of Le Creuset products in THREE new colors that we've never seen before. The brand says these colors are meant to be purchased together, but you should know that they're all sold exclusively at different retailers (more on that later).

The first color is called "Sea Salt," and it's a calming shade of seafoam green with a slight ombré effect. It’s like the Le Creuset team took a trip to the beach, got inspired by sea glass, and designed a line that would effortlessly fit into any seaside kitchen.

The other hues, named "Meringue" and "Fig" (a beautiful eggshell white and oxblood red, respectively), are fresh takes on signature Le Creuset colors. Meringue stays true to its name and conjures images of freshly whipped egg whites, while Fig evokes a fine glass of violet-red Merlot.

Meringue will be exclusively sold at Williams Sonoma, whereas Fig will be available only through Crate & Barrel.

While all of the new colors are listed for sale on on Le Creuset's official site, the reason you'll want to grab it from a retailer like Sur La Table is the price difference. At SLT, the luxury kitchen retailer has placed some of the Sea Salt products on sale already.

This 2.75-quart Dutch oven, for example, is normally $249.95, but you can snag the enameled pot for 40 percent off in the new color right now.

There's even a brand-new 12-inch Sea Salt grill pan, hefty as it is durable, that is available for $99 (nearly half off the regular price of $196!)

If you're looking for a new cast-iron skillet, Crate & Barrel has a Le Creuset 10" skillet for $170. It’s also selling a line of signature Dutch ovens, and a few other items that we haven't seen yet for the other colors, including a square grill pan.

While all three colors are admittedly stunning, Cooking Light editors can't get over how unique the Sea Salt collection is in comparison to the rest of Le Creuset's offerings. You can shop the entire Sea Salt collection at Sur La Table right here. It seems that, for now, the new colors are mostly limited to cast-iron Dutch ovens and braisers, saucepans, and grill pans. But true Le Creuset fanatics can also snag a fresh Sea Salt grinder (no pun intended!) as well.
