'Tis the season for holiday parties! Whether you're an amateur or a well-oiled machine when it comes to entertaining at home, we could all use a little help bringing our tacky sweater parties, cookie swaps and elegant Hanukkah soirees together. Enter: Trader Joe's.

While TJ's is full of wonderful time-saving appetizers (mini brie en croute, anyone?), we are big fans of a lesser known hors d'oeuvre that's also pretty healthy. Their Cold Smoked Salmon Fleurettes are an elegant, ready-to-eat appetizer that will certainly impress a crowd.

These bite-size appetizers are mini smoked salmon bowls, filled with a cream cheese-like spread and topped with fresh chives. A serving size is a generous four pieces, which only sets you back 140 calories and offers a whopping 16 grams of protein. Not to mention, they're super low-carb and make a nice chance from all the bread-heavy finger foods lining the rest of your dining room table.

You can find these salmon bites in the refrigerated section at $10 for 12. That's a whole lot cheaper than making these at home—and will save you tons of time.
