Aldi’s highly anticipated 2019 advent calendars are arriving in stores this week.

Aldi brought their famed wine advent calendars stateside for the first time last year, and they are coming back by (extremely) popular demand. These calendars sold out in minutes last year, so you'll want to line up bright and early tomorrow morning if you want a chance at snagging one for yourself. Thankfully, our friends over at Aldi USA sent us both a wine—and their new cheese—advent calendar to try out for ourselves sans Black Friday-style lines, and we've got all the details.

Aldi's Festive Collection Wine Advent Calendar is returning for the season on November 6. Each calendar costs $69.99 and comes with 24 mini bottles for sipping—each bottle contains enough wine for two, 6-ounce glasses. We were pleasantly surprised by how few repeats there were in this advent calendar, and how many different varieties we got to try. Many of us had never tried tempranillo, a Spanish red, or chenin blanc, a South African white, which made things exciting every time we were digging for the next day's bottle. It's an easy and fun way to try wine varietals from around the world without spending too much on full-sized bottles you may not enjoy.

We must say, this calendar isn't for advanced wine drinkers, as you aren't getting very complex wines, but it makes a great gift or experience to share with a loved one if you're new to wine or want to learn more about different varieties. Each bottle provides tasting notes and tasty food pairings—which brings us to Aldi's new cheese advent calendars!

At first glance, these cheeses from the Emporium Selection Cheese Advent Calendar looked a little sad coming out of the box, but we were pretty impressed with the flavors. From Tomato and Olive Gouda to Red Leicester, there were some interesting varieties mixed in with the mild cheddar and plain gouda cheeses. And since the wine bottles come with pairing recommendations, you can mix and match the cheeses to fit the wine you're given each night if you feel so inclined. The Emporium Selection Cheese Advent Calendar will set you back just $14.99 for 24 nights of perfectly portioned cheese.

We wish you all the best if you decide to line up for one of these fun Aldi advent calendars tomorrow morning. It's important to note that your local Aldi will only sell two calendars per customer, and these babies won't be restocked once your store runs out. We advise getting both calendars together to make the experience more fun, and you can split it with a roommate or friend to keep the cost down (that is, if you feel like sharing). Cheers!
