Employment Opportunity: Contract Technical Producer

EatingWell Media Group is looking for a contract technical producer. The technical producer will be engaged for 8-10 weeks for 10-20 hours per week as needed to lead and manage EatingWell.com’s Redesign and CMS development project. The contract technical producer works with our external design team as well as internal technical, interactive and editorial teams to assure smooth communication, regular meeting time and successful completion of this critical project.

Responsibilities:

• Facilitates weekly tech meeting—assures that tech team is on target and on schedule with technical development and implementation issues that impact the Redesign and CMS projects.
• Tracks all tasks relating to Redesign and CMS projects in MS Project or Excel and updates tasks each week, elevating any and all items that are running behind schedule.
• Troubleshoots project issues by bringing together team members as needed to keep lines of communication open and the project running smoothly overall.
• Relays all necessary tasks to internal technical producer for input into Assembla (web based project management software).
• Major point of contact for the design team—weekly call is needed with ongoing support and coordination of conference calls.
• Schedules all meetings with key stakeholders working to assure that stakeholder give input at appropriate times in the process.
• Tracks all tasks relating to project in MS Project and in Assembla.
• Chairs all meetings relating to Redesign and CMS development, assuring that all team members are contributing at appropriate times.
• Provides weekly agenda and status reports to General Manger, elevating any and all concerns that project is on track.
• Coordinates milestone deliverables with design team, and assures that invoices are delivered and signed by GM.
• Facilitates weekly Monday production meeting to assure all work related to CMS is on schedule and resourced appropriately.
• Majority of time will be in-house.

8- week, part-time contract position located in Burlington, Vermont area.
