EatingWell is a finalist for two awards from the James Beard Foundation, and an award from the International Association of Culinary Professionals.

  • EatingWell contributor Peter Jaret's “The Search for the Anti-Aging Diet,” from the November/December 2007 issue of EatingWell magazine, is a finalist for a 2008 James Beard Foundation Journalism Award for reporting on nutrition or food-related consumer issues.
  • The EatingWell Diet, by Jean Harvey-Berino with Joyce Hendley and the Editors of EatingWell, is a finalist for a 2008 James Beard Foundation Book Award in the Healthy Focus category.
  • EatingWell contributor Laura Fraser's column "Memorable Meals: Food For The Heart," which ran in the January/February 2007 issue of EatingWell magazine, is a finalist for the International Association of Culinary Professionals' Bert Greene Award in the Essay division.

The EatingWell Diabetes Cookbook was nominated for a James Beard Foundation Award in the category Healthy Focus.  In addition, two of our Special Reports are nominated in the category Newspaper or Magazine Reporting on Nutrition or Food-Related Consumer Issues. They are: "Fast Road to Fat City: What price all those cheap burgers and fries?"  by Allison J. Cleary (April/May 2005) and "Faux Food: Where have all our nutrients gone?" by Rachael Moeller Gorman  (December 2005/January 2006).

The EatingWell Diabetes Cookbook was also nominated for an IACP  (The International Association of Culinary Professionals) Cookbook Award.   The nominated books "celebrate [2005's]  most outstanding food and beverage publications."
